When Can I Return to Work After Surgery?

How quickly you can return to work depends on your procedure, the nature of your job, and your individual healing.

    Desk/Office Work

Rhinoplasty: 7โ€“10 days. Breast augmentation: 7โ€“10 days. Liposuction: 5โ€“7 days. Tummy tuck: 2โ€“3 weeks. BBL: 2โ€“3 weeks (sitting restrictions apply). Facelift: 2โ€“3 weeks. Hair transplant: 3โ€“5 days. Dental implants: 2โ€“3 days.

    Physical/Active Work

If your job involves physical activity, lifting, or prolonged standing, you'll need additional time โ€” typically 4โ€“6 weeks depending on the procedure. Your surgeon will provide specific guidance.

    Remote Work Advantage

Many patients return to remote work sooner than office work since they can manage their schedule and rest as needed. If you have the flexibility to work from home, you may be able to resume light work earlier.

    Planning Tip

We recommend building in a buffer beyond the minimum recovery time. Healing is unpredictable, and giving yourself extra rest results in better outcomes and less stress.
