Placement
Implants can be placed under the chest muscle (submuscular), over the muscle (subglandular), or in a dual-plane position combining both. Under-the-muscle placement provides more soft-tissue coverage and a lower rate of capsular contracture; over-the-muscle placement usually means a shorter recovery and no implant movement during exercise. Your surgeon recommends the best placement for your anatomy, tissue thickness and lifestyle.

Recovery
Most patients can return to light activities within 5–7 days. A support bra should be worn for 4–6 weeks. Final results are visible after 3–12 months as swelling subsides. We recommend a stay of 6–7 nights in Istanbul, from your arrival to your departure home.

How long do breast implants last?
Implants have no fixed expiry date. Because the body changes with age, some patients choose a follow-up operation, often after around 20 years, to adjust the look.
Will my breasts look natural?
Our surgeons specialize in achieving natural, proportionate results tailored to your body type and goals.
When can I return to exercise?
Light cardio can resume at 4 weeks. Upper body exercises should wait until 6 weeks post-surgery.
Will my implant be placed over or under the muscle?
That depends on your anatomy. For patients with thinner breast tissue, our surgeons often recommend placement under the muscle (submuscular or dual-plane), because the muscle provides extra coverage for a natural look. With more natural tissue, placement over the muscle (subglandular) can be suitable, and recovery is usually quicker and more comfortable. Your surgeon will advise the right option during your consultation.

Is there intensive care at the hospital?
