How We Select Surgeons and Clinics

We only recommend surgeons and hospitals we have checked ourselves. This page explains what we check, before a partner joins our network and afterwards.

The surgeons

Every surgeon in our network is a specialist in their field and in the procedures they perform. Before a surgeon joins, we verify their qualifications and certificates, look at how often they perform each procedure, and review the results of their previous patients.

All our partner surgeons have more than 19 years of experience.

What we check

  • Registration and specialist training
  • Specialisation in the procedures they perform
  • Case volume: how often they perform each procedure
  • Results of their previous patients
  • A clear policy for revision surgery

The hospitals and clinics

All our partner hospitals are authorised by the Turkish Ministry of Health to treat international patients. Some hold further accreditation — for example from AACI (American Accreditation Commission International) and TÜSKA, Turkey's national health-services accreditation institute.

We check each hospital's Ministry authorisation and any further accreditation ourselves, and we visit every facility in person before we refer a patient there. During the visit we look at hygiene, equipment, emergency procedures and how patients are cared for.

What we check

  • Authorisation by the Turkish Ministry of Health and any further accreditation
  • Emergency care teams on site
  • Up-to-date equipment
  • Regular hygiene audits

After a partner joins

Checking a partner is not a one-off. We review every partner regularly and follow each patient's treatment through to recovery. What patients tell us about their surgeon, their hospital and their aftercare is part of that review.

If a partner falls short

If a surgeon or hospital no longer meets these standards, we raise it with them directly. If the problem is not resolved, we stop referring patients to them. Patients who are already planning their treatment with us are offered an alternative.

Who will treat you, and where

Who treats you, and where, depends entirely on the treatment we identify together with you. Part of our job is to find the specialist and the setting that suit you and your circumstances best. This happens during your medical review. If you decide on a treatment and would like to know beforehand who will treat you, just ask, and we will put you in touch directly with your treating team.

Check for yourself

You are welcome to check our choices. Ask us for your surgeon's qualifications and your hospital's authorisation and accreditation, and read our advice on choosing a provider safely.
